«AI saves you time» is something everybody says. The useful question is another one: how much time, in my salon, this week? If it can't be answered with figures from your own business, it's a promise, not a fact.
In a salon, time goes in three places: answering messages while your hands are in a colour, booking and moving appointments, and remembering to message the clients you haven't seen for a while. An assistant that does its job well has to be able to show you how much of that it has done for you.
What ClaudIA tells you every morning
The daily summary reaches your WhatsApp without you asking. As well as the plan for the day, it tells you what ClaudIA did yesterday:
- How many appointments it booked.
- What they're worth.
- How many came in outside your opening hours: the ones at eleven at night, the Sunday ones. The ones that, without an assistant, would have been an unanswered message until the next day or a client booking somewhere else.
«Outside your opening hours» is measured against your salon's real hours that day, not an invented time band. And if you haven't set your hours, it isn't claimed.
What you see in Reports
| Section | What it counts |
|---|---|
| What ClaudIA has brought you | The appointments it booked in the period and their value, compared with the previous period |
| Time ClaudIA has saved you | Conversations it handled on its own, without passing them to you, times the minutes each one takes you |
The method is in plain sight. Minutes per conversation start at 5 and you adjust them: if in your salon answering, finding a time and confirming takes you eight minutes on average, you put eight. With 300 conversations resolved a month at 5 minutes each, that's 25 hours: more than three working days back on the scissors.
And a suggestion every Thursday
The time that costs the most isn't spent answering: it's spent thinking what to do with next week. With WhatsApp commands switched on, every Thursday from 11:00 ClaudIA messages you with:
- Next week's days with the most free time.
- A ready-made message for the clients who have gone past their usual visit pattern.
You read it and, if you're happy, you reply «yes» before 21:00. If you don't reply, nothing goes out. You decide; the work of preparing the campaign is already done.
Why measuring it changes the decision
When you know the assistant booked fourteen appointments outside opening hours last month, whether it pays for itself stops being a hunch. It's the same logic as what a salon loses by not answering, but the other way round: instead of estimating what's lost, you see what's been gained, with a name and a time.
And because everything comes from your diary, there's no marketing figure to take on trust: your salon's is in your dashboard, every morning on your WhatsApp and every month in your reports.
